Fresh Momentum for a School on Sylt

Phase Zero provides the strategic foundation for the future development of Norddörferschule

The workshops conducted by Trapez as part of the Phase Zero process for the strategic realignment of Norddörferschule on Sylt has been successfully completed. Based on this collaborative groundwork, the school association has recommended constructing a new building at the existing site.

Across four workshops, Trapez facilitated a structured dialogue involving students, educators, representatives of the school association, cooperation partners, and municipal stakeholders. Together, they developed a forward-looking framework defining spatial requirements, evaluating site options, and aligning pedagogical ambitions with long-term feasibility.

The vision of a school characterized by openness and flexible learning environments was translated into a spatial strategy that now forms the basis for the next stages of planning.
