"Grünes Ungeheuer" - A Former Vocational School in Focus

11th Heritage Talk in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern

How can contemporary requirements be reconciled with the protection of existing structures? Verena Zschocke from Trapez addressed this question at the 11th Heritage Talk organized by the Chamber of Architects Mecklenburg-Vorpommern. Using our current renovation project in Rostock as an example, she demonstrated how close cooperation with heritage preservation authorities can successfully make the former vocational school suitable again for use as a modern educational building while restoring its original aesthetic.

The event highlighted how demanding, yet inspiring and constructive, the dialogue between architecture and heritage conservation can be. We are very pleased with the excellent collaboration and look forward to implementing our renovation design for the „Grüne Ungeheuer“
